چکیده

Abstract The CoFe 2 O 4 /ZnAl-layered double hydroxide (LDH) composite was successfully developed through a facile co-precipitation method, characterized, and applied as an effective adsorbent for the removal of methyl orange (MO) dye from aqueous solutions. central design (CCD) response surface methodology (RSM) employed to estimate optimize process variables such initial MO concentrations, solution pH, dosage, contact time. 98.878% adsorption efficiency obtained at concentration 18.747 mg l −1 MO, with dosage 0.048 g, pH 2.770, time 85.890 min. Analysis variance (ANOVA) confirmed significance predicted model (R = 0.9844). Kinetic equilibrium studies indicated that experimental data were best described by pseudo-second-order kinetic Langmuir models. maximum monolayer capacity /ZnAl-LDH 42.3 g .

Bentazon removal from aqueous solution by reverse osmosis; optimization of effective parameters using response surface methodology

Although bentazon is widely used as an agricultural herbicide, it is harmful to humans and poses many environmental threats. This study focused on the treatment of wastewater contaminated with bentazon pesticides using membrane technology. In this regard, low-pressure reverse osmosis (RO) was employed as it has already been used in the removal of other micro-pollutants. The effects of process v...

Response Surface Methodology for Optimizing Adsorption Process Parameters of Amaranth Removal Using Magnetic Layer Double Hydroxide (Fe3O4/ZnFe-LDH)

ABSTRACT Response surface methodology was employed to optimize the adsorption parameters of Amaranth onto magnetic layer double hydroxide (Fe3O4/ZnFe-LDH). Such optimization was undertaken to ensure a high efficiency over the experimental ranges employed, and to evaluate the interactive effects of the initial concentration of Amaranth, pH, adsorbent dosage, temperature and contact time on...

Modeling and Optimization of Arsenic (III) Removal from Aqueous Solutions by GFO Using Response Surface Methodology

Arsenic is a highly toxic element for human beings, which is generally found in groundwater. Dissolved Arsenic in water can be seen as As+3 and As+5 states. The adsorption process is one of the available methods to remove Arsenic from aqueous solutions. Thus, this papers aims at removing Arsenic (III) from aqueous solutions through adsorption on iron oxide granules. The relation among four inde...
